A week ago (September 2, 2014) we went to The Historic New Orleans Collection in the French Quarter. We were introduced to an app that allows us to take archived photos of buildings from the area around us, and super-impose them over a picture of the same building today. I enjoyed seeing the comparison of "What was and what is." It was also very educational seeing the difference from the past to the present and being allowed to see exactly what has been removed, altered, or added to these buildings. I can definitely see this app being used on a school field trip or in an architecture class in a high school or college. I am very interested to see where this app goes in the future and what other pictures are added on.
