I have attended four schools for which I had very different experiences. I met a variety of people and was taught important lessons about accepting people for who they are and appreciating ideas they bring to light. These experiences opened my eyes and made me see the world in new perspectives. It also broadened my horizons and widened my circle of friends. New Orleans is a city of all different people and we have to learn how to deal with and accept people from all walks of life in order for the city to be successful. In relation to the future of our city, I believe that my education should continue to expose me to the needs of many other people in the city and not just focus on the privileged and also to find ways to help those who need it the most. My empathy towards others, integrity, and work ethic are imperative to helping the city of New Orleans and changing it for the better in the near future.
