I like to say I grew up in the world. I've lived in metropolitan areas, in the suburbs, and nearly rural places like Fairbanks. I grew up in very stable settings, but I feel like kids these days take too much advantage of that. I think New Orleans has great potential to solve a lot of its problems and thrive because it's such a diverse city. That's what makes New Orleans so great, its diversity and it's long history of being diverse. I think my education more than anything has taught me the value of being able to solve problems as a group. This particular aspect of school could contribute to me helping the future of our city because it takes more than one force coming together to really solve a problem. Many times, people do not have proper social skills necessary to carry out group work successfully. I believe I bring that skill set to the table.
